Hand's innings comes to an end, he pulls the ball towards mid-wicket again. He doesn't hit it as cleanly this time and Little runs back from mid-on to complete the catch. The Lightning win!
Leinster vs Reds, 8th Match at Dublin, INTER PRO, May 22 2021 - Match Result
It was always going to be a struggle for the Reds to recover after failing to 59/5.
Commins dug in for a gritty fifty but he didn't have much support from the rest Reds batting lineup, showing once again how they miss Curtis Campher.
It did look that Fionn Hand was enjoyinh himself out there with the bat, maybe he gets pushed up the order for the next game?
The Lightning attack has internationals running all the way through it and without a doubt, Barry McCarthy was the pick of them today.
It's the first time that he has picked up 6 wickets in a List A game, wrapping up the game just before the rain comes.
It's not a surprise that McCarthy has been named player of the match.
The Lightning will also be happy that they pick up a bonus point for the win, moving them into a five point lead over the Warriors at the top of the table.
It makes next Tuesday's game between the Warriors and the Lightning at Eglinton even more important, it could decide who takes away the title this year.
Tommorrow sees the start of the 4 match T20 series between the Ireland and Scottish womens teams in Belfast. So don't forget to follow along.
Thanks for staying with me throughout the day, this is Justin Smyth saying goodnight from Pembroke.

McCarthy back for his last.
steps forward, guides the ball towards point. Another over gets chalked off
slower ball, left alone outside off-stump. Bounces in front of the keeper and Tucker does well to stop it
it's a little tempter outside off-stump, Manley pulls the bat out of the way at the last moment
that ball almost cuts Manley in two as he tries to defend the ball, clips the top of the pad on the way through to the keeper
top edges the ball towards long leg, the ball is in the air for an age but the fielder doesn't pick it up and it lands safe
that's a nice shot from Hand, flicks the ball off the pads and down to long leg for a couple
Manly doesn't move his feet and pokes the bat down at the ball. Manley misses the ball, the ball misses the stumps and on we go
Last man in for the Reds now, the end is nigh
Wow, what a catch from Dockrell! It's a thick edge that flies in the air towards short third man, Dockrell flies two handed to his right and plucks the ball out of the air. World-class fielding and McCarthy gets his five for.
strokes the ball back past the bowler, brings Sidhu on strike
its too full from the bowler, clipped down backwards of square on the legside. Grassi, who has been really busy in the field, chases after it but can't make up the ground in time
back of a length ball, Hand is quite tall and has to get up to his full height to fend that ball away
good length ball, Hand plants the front foot down and defends into the covers
bunts the ball into the on-side, as Grassi comes in to field both batters set off for the run. Both turn back at the same time too...
Yet another appeal, looked to be drifting down leg, so not given either
Little goes up in appeal, for either LBW or caught, not sure what for. Neither is given
flashes at another short delivery outside off-stump, Little looks up to the skies after seeing Sidhu play that shot
Little bowls this one a little fuller, Sidhu gets the bat in front of the pads and defends
