They were dismissed for 215 in the first innings, which featured a quick 63 by Koragappa Chandrasekhara, and were 23 for 1 in the second. At the Maharaja Bir Bikram College Stadium, Haryana replied strongly after dismissing Tripura for 288, reaching 118 for 2 - a total built on patient knocks by Chetan Sharma (50 not out) and Ishan Ganda, unbeaten on 43. They recovered from a shaky start (13 for 2) to erase Tripura's 88-run lead. Earlier, the bowlers did well to limit Tripura after they had reached 221 for 4. Mishra picked up three of the six wickets to fall, and ended with figures of 4 for 52.
