SACA head coach recruitment about to commence

The South Australian Cricket Association (SACA) has announced that the process will this week commence to replace the management position for State cricket.

The South Australian Cricket Association (SACA) has announced that the process will this week commence to replace the management position for State cricket.
The announcement follows media speculation about the role of the current State cricket manager, Mr Greg Chappell, after the Redbacks recent losses.
The SACA's cricket operations manager, Mr Harvey Jolly, today confirmed that the process for replacing Mr Chappell will this week get underway.
"The SACA has known for some time that the 2002/03 season would be Greg's last with South Australia and we have been planning for some time to ensure a replacement is found soon after the end of this season."
"We will this week sit down and start the process of reviewing the requirements for cricket in South Australia and a part of that process will be recruiting a replacement for Greg."
"This will not be an overnight process, and I anticipate a timeframe of up to two months before we make any announcements about the coaching position."
"In the meantime, the Redbacks have three Pura Cup and three ING Cup games to go for the rest of this season, and I'm sure that Greg and the team will work very hard to get some wins on the board from those games," said Mr Jolly.
