Retravision Warriors penalised for slow over rate

Cricket Australia today announced that the Retravision Warriors have been penalised one (1) point for a slow over rate during their Pura Cup match against the NSW SpeedBlitz Blues from January 23-26 at the WACA Ground, Perth.

The Warriors were found to be two overs behind the required over rate at the conclusion of the match, with the infringement incurring a penalty of 0.5 points for each over. As a result, the Warriors' total points on the Pura Cup table have been reduced from 16.0 to 15.0.

In assessing the Warriors' over rate, match officials made allowances for several interruptions to play, and regularly kept the West Australian team updated on their over rate.

Once these factors were considered, and having heard a response from the Western Australian Cricket Association, it was found that the Warriors still fell two overs behind the required rate.
