Only nine overs of play were possible in the Pura Cup game between New South Wales and Queensland at Sydney, as rain washed out most of the third day. Michael Bevan and Mark Waugh added 19 runs in that time, making sure that no wickets were lost as all hope of an outright result in the match was washed away.
