Hampshire approach to Streak declined/ Giddins talks

Hampshire will be making no comment today (Wednesday) after a meeting with Ed Giddins this morning to discuss the seam bowlers future.

Hampshire will be making no comment today (Wednesday) after a meeting with Ed Giddins this morning to discuss the seam bowlers future.
Rumour and speculation in the papers had intimated that he had retired, however a club spokesmen stated that they will not be making any statement today.
On the subject of a replacement overseas player for Wasim Akram, Paul Terry the club manager had stated that they had made an offer to Heath Streak the Zimbabwean captain. Streak who played one season for the county in 1995, declined the offer due to his committments with the Zimbabweans Cricket Union. The search goes on.
