Nathan Hauritz has vowed to stay at Queensland despite a dramatic crash from Test to club status last season. Taking five wickets on debut against India in Mumbai last November, Hauritz returned home looking forward to adding to his eight ODIs, but was soon bowling his offspin for Brisbane side Norths.
The Courier-Mail reported Hauritz, who fell behind the slow men Lachlan Stevens and Ryan Le Loux at the Bulls, would not head interstate in an effort to re-ignite his first-class career. Hauritz played six Pura Cup matches in 2004-05 and averaged a wicket a game at 96 apiece.
While Hauritz will remain in Brisbane, Damien McKenzie, a fast bowler on the fringe of the squad, has agreed a deal with Tasmania. Scott Brant and Steve Paulsen are also hopeful of moving after they signed up for the interstate transfer pool last week.
