debutant at batting position one after Zimbabwean Andy Flower's
115* against Sri Lanka at New Plymouth on 23-02-1992 and alongwith
Australia's Kepler Wessels' 79 against New Zealand at Melbourne on
09-01-1983.The partnership of 106 runs between debutant Trescothick and

Zimbabwean fieldsman in a match. The previous record was of 3 catches
which was on the name of two fielders. Alistair Campbell took three
catches against Kenya at Dhaka on 19-03-99 and Andy Whittall (half
brother of Guy Whittall) did so against South Africa at Chelmsford on
29-05-1999.Guy Whittall also became only the second fielder in ODIs to held
four catches in a match against England after West Indian Richie
Richardson who did so at Birmingham on 23-05-1991.Grant Flower's figures (3 for 9) are the most economical by a
Zimbabwean bowler capturing 3 wickets in a match. The previous record
was on the name of Craig Wishart who conceded 11 runs while taking his
three wickets against Sri Lanka at Sharjah on 07-11-1998.Andy Flower's innings (61) is the highest by a `keeper captain
against England. He bettered his own 52 made at Brisbane on

score an individual fifty against England. The 123 run stand between Alistair Campbell and Andy Flower is the
highest for fourth wicket for Zimbabwe against England. This
obliterates the 11o run stand between Grant Flower And Dave Houghton
at Sydney on 15-12-1994.The Man of the Match award was fourth for Alistair Campbell.
